It's truly devastating to hear about Aris Wimbush's murder, especially considering how his family is struggling to cope with such a painful loss. What's really alarming is the issue of building security in NYCHA developments. From what the family shared, it sounds like this might have been a factor. As someone who grew up in similar housing, I know firsthand how difficult it can be when you're worried about safety right where you live. The NYCHA buildings often have so many people coming and going that it's nearly impossible to know everyone, and sadly, security can be lacking. I wonder if heightened security measures or even just better building maintenance might have made a difference here. If the community and local authorities could come together to address these safety concerns, perhaps it could prevent something like this from happening again. My heart truly goes out to Aris’s family during this incredibly difficult time. They deserve to feel secure in their own home.
