I've been following the tragic case of Kristina Jones and Pete Richardson, and I can't stop thinking about the role the environment may have played in escalating their issues. Living in the Pelham Parkway Houses, where space is tight and privacy is limited, must have made their arguments and tensions even more unbearable. It's no excuse for such a tragic outcome, but it's important to consider how difficult it might be to find a moment of peace in a place where everyone knows your business. It's a sobering reminder of how the environment can contribute to an already volatile situation, and my heart goes out to Kristina's loved ones who are now left grappling with this loss. I hope this brings awareness to how crucial support systems are in dense urban settings, where it feels like relief is often out of reach.
