Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Edwin Naula and wanted to discuss something that's been puzzling me. Despite the high-profile nature of the crime and the apparent gang involvement, it seems that the NYPD hasn't made much progress in finding Jose Hernandez, the alleged gunman. It's frustrating to know that someone so dangerous is still out there.
From what I've read, there were quite a few people on the street when the shooting happened. It's shocking that no witnesses have come forward with information. I can't imagine the fear they must feel, especially knowing the shooters were affiliated with MS-13. This incident really highlights how intimidation and fear can silence communities. It's a difficult situation for everyone involved, particularly Edwin's family, who are desperately seeking justice.
Does anyone know if there have been efforts to offer protection or incentives for witnesses to speak out? It seems like that might be the key to cracking this case and ensuring Edwin's family finds the closure they deserve. Sending thoughts to them as they navigate this painful time.
Did anyone else see the interview with Edwin’s sister, Kelly Naula? She spoke so courageously about Edwin and how much he meant to their family. It’s incredibly moving to see her hold it together while talking about someone she obviously loved dearly. Her words about his community work really hit home for me—so many people only hear about the gang angle of these stories, when there’s so much more to the person behind the headlines. Edwin was clearly someone who made a positive impact beyond his connections, and it’s absolutely tragic that his life was cut short this way. I can't even imagine the pain his family is going through, especially since justice still seems out of reach with Jose Hernandez on the loose. Sending all my support to them and hoping for resolution soon.
Just came across some new details in the case of Edwin Naula. It’s truly alarming that such a vibrant life was cut short in such a violent way. What stands out to me is the fear and silence from witnesses on the street. I get it, the fear of gang retaliation is very real, but knowing there were people who might have seen something and haven't been able to speak up—it's sad. Must be weighing heavy on their conscience too. I really wish there was a way for folks to come forward safely. Edwin’s loved ones deserve answers, and the community deserves peace. Anyone else think more needs to be done to protect witness anonymity in cases like this? Sharing my thoughts with all of you while keeping Edwin's family in my heart.
