I've been following the Martinez case, and something caught my attention. A number of locals have mentioned that the area around East 216th Street has seen a rise in gun violence recently. Does anyone know if the police are looking into whether this shooting might be part of a broader issue in the neighborhood? It’s terrifying to think such violence is becoming more common, impacting the lives of ordinary people just like Martinez. Sending thoughts to his family during this incredibly difficult time. If anyone hears more about community meetings or police updates on this, please share. It's important for the neighborhood to stay informed and vigilant.
