I’ve been following the case of Eyon Johnson and Damien White, and it's awful to think about their families having to navigate this nightmare. Something that stuck with me is how ordinary their morning seemed before everything went wrong. Just another day of work, you know? Going to Miguel’s to do renovations shouldn’t have been a life-threatening act. I can't stop thinking about how quickly these tragic events unfolded, shattering their loved ones' lives in an instant. It’s worrying that someone could lay in wait with such malicious intent. I hope the community comes together to support the Johnson and White families during such a difficult time. The mental burden they must now carry is unimaginable. As the legal process continues, I hope there’s a light at the end of this tunnel for their families, as they deserve nothing less than justice and peace. If there’s any good that can come from such a senseless act, maybe it's a renewed focus on fighting gun violence in our communities. My thoughts are with everyone impacted by this tragedy.
