Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the surveillance footage the NYPD released for Carlos Gonzalez's case. It’s so chilling to realize how grainy images are our best shot (no pun intended) at catching this murderer. It seemed clear from what has been shared that the suspect was wearing a camo hoodie, which makes me wonder if it was chosen deliberately to blend in or disguise. Could this suggest any familiarity with the area? It's incredibly frustrating, yet I remain hopeful that someone will recognize the clothing or even the way the person walks. I know it's a long shot, but community efforts have worked miracles before. The pain Carlos's family and friends are enduring must be unbearable, especially with the added turmoil at the vigil. Holding onto hope for a breakthrough soon. If anyone's seen this footage, what are your thoughts? Do you think there's a chance someone could ID this person based on their attire and demeanor? Stay safe, everyone. ?

Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Carlos Gonzalez like many of you, and something that really strikes me is the role of community support in these situations. The gathering that happened in the wake of his death really showed how tight-knit the neighborhood is and how much Carlos meant to those around him. But at the same time, it's so disheartening that even a moment meant for mourning was disrupted by violence. Seeing the NYPD's call for help and everyone rallying to share the suspect's images gives a bit of hope that the community will play a crucial role in getting justice for Carlos. It’s moments like these when unity and perseverance can really make a difference. I'm hoping that with everyone’s involvement, we can find some answers and bring a sense of peace to his family and friends, who are undoubtedly going through an unbelievably difficult time. Stay strong, everyone. ? Edit: Just want to add - if anyone knows something, however small, please report it. Every piece of information counts.

Seeing the community come together to honor Carlos's life at the vigil was truly moving, even though it ended in such a senseless tragedy. It's so hard to wrap my head around the fact that even during a time meant for healing and remembrance, violence found its way back in. My heart truly aches for the Gonzalez family; losing Carlos was already an unbearable ordeal, and to have someone disrupt his vigil in such a cruel manner just adds to their trauma. I can't help but wonder about the people who were there, paying their respects and trying to remember Carlos's life in a meaningful way. How are they coping knowing that yet again, they were faced with violence? It must be terrifying to even consider attending community gatherings in the future. Has anyone heard from local advocacy groups about what's being done to support the victims of the vigil tragedy or any initiatives to prevent this from happening again? Let’s keep talking about this and push for safer communities here in the Bronx.
