I can't stop thinking about the devastating loss of Letroyed Brown back in 2017. It’s awful to hear about yet another life taken in Baton Rouge’s "Murder Triangle." I’m struck by how the area has become almost synonymous with violence, and yet so many cases, like Letroyed’s, remain unsolved. It’s terrible that Letroyed's death is wrapped up in this narrative of gang and drug-related violence, but at the end of the day, he was a person whose life was unjustly cut short. It's easy to focus on the circumstances or statistics, but there's a family left without a loved one and a community that’s still grappling with grief and fear. I really hope authorities can get the help they need to bring justice to Letroyed's case. If anyone out there has any piece of information, no matter how small, it could really make a difference. His family deserves answers, and the community needs healing. Let's keep talking about this and supporting each other in seeking justice.
