I recently came across the tragic story of Aaron Burrell Kidd and it just breaks my heart for his family, especially knowing he was an expectant father. I can't help but reflect on how much promise he must've had, and how he was trying to get his life back on track after some learning challenges. The fact that he became the sixth student from the county to lose their life to violence during that school year is a huge wake-up call for the community. It's gut-wrenching to think about what his mother, Theresa Williams, must be going through, losing her son in such a senseless way. I’ve seen mentions of vigils and community gatherings—does anyone know more about ongoing efforts to support the families affected or any initiatives tackling youth violence in Prince George's County? It's so important that we rally together to prevent more young lives from being lost.
