Hey everyone,
I’ve been reading through the posts, and I just wanted to bring up something that’s been really bothering me about William Treadwell’s case. The fact that this happened in such a public spot, near Wolfe Liquors where people are frequently around, yet not much info has emerged, is truly disturbing. It makes me wonder about the impact of community fear and silence. Deanna Gibson seemed to have witnessed quite a bit, but how many others might have seen something and felt too afraid to come forward? It's incredibly frustrating because these are the kind of details that could potentially give the police a lead, and perhaps provide some closure to William’s family. Anyone else have thoughts on how communities can be better supported in speaking up, especially in neighborhoods that experience frequent violence?
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the environment surrounding William Douglass Treadwell's tragic death, especially how the lack of witnesses coming forward has been a major hurdle in this case. It's incredibly sad that in moments like these, fear often keeps people silent, even when they might hold crucial pieces of the puzzle.
I wonder what could help encourage more community members to share what they know. Could there be a better system in place to protect those who come forward, or make them feel safer while doing so? It's just such a dreadful reminder of how sometimes these cases remain cold not because people don't care, but because they're afraid. My heart genuinely goes out to William’s family and friends who are still searching for closure after all these years. If anyone on here has thoughts on how we could foster a more supportive environment for witnesses, I'd love to hear your ideas. ?
Stay safe,

I came across William Douglass Treadwell's case, and it's been really sticking with me. It's so troubling that someone who was well-known in his neighborhood could meet such a tragic end without any apparent reason or known enemies. It's clear the community was shaken by this senseless act. Deanna Gibson's account of those three men is unsettling. It makes you wonder if there were more people around that evening who might have seen something crucial but are too afraid to step forward.
It's frustrating, because without more witnesses or evidence, Bill's family is left without answers or justice. I truly hope that someone who knows something finds the courage to speak up. This shouldn’t be another 'unsolved' case, lost in statistics. Every time I hear about another act of violence in Baltimore, I can’t help but think of Bill and his family, and how they must continue to deal with their loss amid lingering questions. If anyone has information, no matter how small it may seem, I urge you to reach out. Every bit of information helps.
