I can't even begin to imagine the overwhelming grief that the family and friends of Ian and Julian Jr. are experiencing right now. It's just devastating. I came across some comments from the neighbors, who all seemed genuinely shocked and saddened by the loss of these young lives. Many described Ian as a bright little light in the neighborhood, always quick with a smile or a helping hand. It makes me think about how interconnected we all are in our communities, and how sometimes the signs of someone's distress might not be as visible as we think. This tragedy is a somber reminder of how vital it is to check in on one another. My heart goes out to Ian's classmates and teachers—this must be incredibly hard for them to process. Let's make sure we continue to support kids who have to navigate such confusing emotions at such a young age.
