I came across this case recently and have been thinking a lot about Greg Manuel's mother, Eroctonya Easter. It's hard to imagine what she's been through, witnessing such a horrific event and losing her son in such a senseless way. It makes me wonder about the kind of support systems available for families dealing with the aftermath of violence. Grieving a child is an unimaginable pain, and having to testify at the trial must have been incredibly difficult for her. I hope she’s found some peace and support from her community, and maybe others who have gone through something similar. Does anyone know if there are any organizations in Baltimore specifically supporting families of homicide victims? It seems like they could use all the support they can get.
