Has anyone else been following the Arthur Sassone case from ‘94? There are some peculiar details about the *Double O* fishing trip that keep bugging me. From what I’ve read, their life jackets were found floating nearby—yet neither Sassone nor Dillon’s bodies ever appeared. I can't help but wonder if there are more unreported weather factors that could’ve played a role. Was there a sudden storm or high waves that day? Local reports don’t mention anything specific, but it seems strange given the cooler and life jackets were recovered. It makes me question if there’s something more about sea conditions or something else entirely that has been overlooked. Does anyone have ideas or find this aspect odd too?
Has anyone else been struck by the odd timing of everything that day on the *Double O*? I came across an old news clipping that mentioned weather conditions were deteriorating faster than expected. The coast guard reports say the crew was warned about incoming squalls but decided to press on with the trip. I wonder if they underestimated the conditions or if they thought they had more time before things got bad. It's just puzzling how seasoned fishermen like them ended up in such a dire situation. It's made me curious whether there were any other boats that encountered issues around the same time or if anyone else who was out on the water might have seen or heard something that could shed light on what happened. Maybe someone remembers something?
