It's been a little over six years since we lost Jerelle Burnett, and the pain his family and friends must feel hasn't gotten any easier. I'm struck by the support that poured out from the community—especially the GoFundMe they organized to help his daughters, Aubrey and Alaina. It's truly moving to see people come together in the wake of such a tragedy, showing love and solidarity. Has anyone heard how his daughters are doing now? They were so young when this happened, and I can only hope they're surrounded by love and support as they grow up without their dad. It's frustrating to think about how gun violence continues to affect families. If there are any updates on how the community is working to support victims' families, I’d love to hear more. Let's keep Jerelle's memory alive and continue to push for change.

I just cannot stop thinking about those poor little girls, Aubrey and Alaina, growing up without their father. It's unimaginable the pain they're going through, especially when they're so young. Jerelle was just trying to get home after a day's work, and it's beyond tragic that his life was cut short like this. The community really stepped up with the GoFundMe to help his family, and it shows how deeply he was loved. I hope the awareness around this case encourages people to come forward with any information. Jerelle's family deserves to know the truth and see justice served for his untimely passing.

Jerelle Burnett's murder has left a scar on the Forestville community. As someone who grew up nearby, it's unsettling to think that his life was stolen in a place so familiar. It's devastating to know his two little girls, Aubrey and Alaina, will grow up without their dad. A lot of us have been keeping an eye on the charges against Geonte Stockton. While legal proceedings can drag on, I hope they bring some semblance of closure to Jerelle's family. It's hard not to feel frustrated with how things stand, knowing that a promising young life was cut short. The community coming together to support Jerelle's family through the GoFundMe did show how much he meant to everyone. It was touching to see people rally to try to ease some of the burdens for his family, even if it won't ever fill the void left by his loss. Gun violence is such an ever-present threat, and Jerelle's case is just another painful reminder of its reach. I truly hope his daughters grow up knowing how much he was cherished and how hard people are fighting for justice in his name.
