I was looking into Jason Allen Gibson's case and came across something intriguing related to his hair. It seems like Jason was known to frequently change his hairstyle, often dyeing his naturally black and curly hair blonde and wearing it in a ponytail. I wonder if this could have contributed to people not recognizing him. Being unhoused and struggling with mental health might have already made him hard to pin down, but changing his hair color and style could have further complicated any efforts to track him or for people to identify him back then. It makes me think about how small details like this can have a big impact on how missing persons cases unfold. Has anyone come across any similar instances where a victim’s appearance changes could have contributed to them being harder to find?
