Has anyone else thought about the role of community awareness in Martrell Harris's case? While it's undeniable that the city was under a lot of pressure with the surge in violence, it gets me thinking about how the community might have helped prevent tragedies like this. I mean, was there any noticeable increase in neighborhood watch efforts or community meetings in the Lucille Park area after this incident? I really feel for Martrell and his family. No one should have to go through such a horrible loss, and it's frustrating to see how these issues unfold. It seems like there could be more emphasis on connecting residents, law enforcement, and local organizations working together to prevent these incidents. How do we get there? Any thoughts or insights from locals on community changes post-2017?
