I've been following Shareef Tauheed Washington's case, and something that's been on my mind is the lack of community engagement. It's clear the investigators are doing their best, but it feels like there might be some stigma or fear holding people back from speaking up. Shareef had a family and friends who cared for him deeply, and they deserve answers. It's so important for communities to work hand-in-hand with law enforcement in cases like these. Maybe some people don't realize how vital their piece of information could be, no matter how small it seems. For anyone with knowledge about the incident, coming forward could be a crucial step toward finding justice for Shareef and bringing some peace to his loved ones.
