Does anyone have more info on the kind of activities or gatherings that might have been happening around the Sacramento Deep Water Channel back in December '96? I’ve been reading up on Larry Petersen’s case, and it struck me that any events or gatherings could potentially lead to more witnesses or clues. I know it's a bit of a long shot, but sometimes local events stick in people's memories more than random sightings. Maybe someone remembers a boat tour, a fishing event, or even a community meeting around that time? Any lead, however small, might be worth looking into after all these years.

Hey everyone, I was digging into the Larry Petersen case and something crossed my mind about the location he went missing from. The Sacramento Deep Water Channel seems like such a peculiar area for someone to go missing. I read somewhere that this area is not only remote but also quite secluded, which makes me wonder about the challenges the search teams must have faced back then. Given how vast and complex the terrain is, could it be that the location itself is a reason why there’s been a lack of evidence or leads? It’s just so puzzling that such an extensive search yielded nothing. Also, was this area known for any specific activities during the '90s? Understanding the geography and local happenings could really provide some perspective on what might have happened. Anyone from Sacramento or familiar with the area back then have any insights?
