Has anyone dug into the odd circumstances surrounding the discovery of Billy Elmore's boat on Lake Pend Oreille? It's been bugging me ever since I read about it. The hull damage and the tied-down accelerator seem really suspicious. Was there any forensic analysis done on the boat itself? I know it's a stretch, but boats normally don’t end up in the middle of a lake with intentional damage without there being some kind of struggle or foul play involved. Maybe someone else has seen or heard of similar cases? It just seems like more attention should be given to this element, as it could be a crucial piece of the puzzle. Would love to hear others' thoughts on what might've happened with it and whether anyone believes it was staged to throw off investigators.
