It's so unsettling to think about what Dr. Frank Shemwell might have endured in his final moments. I read through some previous discussions, and I can't help but wonder why someone would set fire to the home after such a brutal attack. Was it purely to destroy evidence, or was there an added layer of malice? I feel for his family having to live with so many unanswered questions. Also, why was Penny never charged if she was a person of interest? Her subsequent convictions make me question what else was going on in that household. There are so many loose ends that seem to need tying up in this case. Does anyone know if new tech has been used to reexamine the evidence recently? Maybe something has been overlooked that could bring some closure.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the fire set at Dr. Frank Shemwell's home and how deliberate it seemed. It's chilling to consider how someone could plan and execute such an act. The combination of blunt-force trauma and the setting of the fire makes me wonder if the fire was intended to destroy evidence or if it was meant to ensure his death. It must be incredibly difficult for his family and friends to grapple with this, knowing the fire wasn’t just an accident but a part of the violence he suffered. These seemingly calculated actions make you think about how much more there is to uncover. Hopefully, the investigators working this cold case are still digging for anything that could bring justice and give Dr. Shemwell’s loved ones some peace.
