I’ve been following Diarah Baxter’s case ever since the incident happened, and I’ve been thinking a lot about the aftermath and how it continues to affect the community. What strikes me is the profound impact of losing someone so young and full of potential. I hope they feel some sense of justice with the sentencing, though nothing can truly heal the void of losing a loved one like Diarah.
