Hey all,
Something that's been on my mind about this case is the state of mind and behavior of Aaron Lanier Wilson Jr. during the shooting. What kind of background checks or mental health screenings are standard for rideshare passengers, if any? It’s chilling to think that a person under the influence of PCP could end up sharing a ride with unsuspecting individuals like Casey and Beaudouin. I also can't imagine the feeling of responsibility those ride-share companies must face when tragedies like this occur.
I've read that PCP can cause severe hallucinations and erratic behavior. This makes me wonder if there were any visible signs of Wilson's condition when he was picked up, and if there was any chance to prevent this horrific incident. It breaks my heart to think of Casey and Beaudouin being trapped in that vehicle, completely unaware of what was about to happen.
I hope rideshare companies take more stringent measures to protect both drivers and passengers in the future. Rest in peace, Casey and Beaudouin. My thoughts are with their families as they navigate the aftermath of this senseless act. ?️

I can’t get over how randomly tragic this case is. It’s so unsettling knowing that Casey Xavier Robinson was simply taking an Uber Pool ride like many of us do, trusting he’d safely reach his destination. Thinking about his family and friends who have to navigate life without him is truly difficult. He was just an innocent passenger, caught up in something beyond comprehension. Does anyone else feel a heightened sense of fear taking ride shares after hearing about cases like this? It makes you wish there was more that could be done to ensure every ride is safe for both drivers and passengers. My heart truly goes out to Casey's loved ones. I hope they find strength and justice as the legal process moves forward.
