I've been thinking a lot about the apartment complex where the shooting happened. Breslin Court in Rosedale seems like such an ordinary place for such an extraordinary tragedy. It’s unsettling to consider that neighbors were likely just going about their usual routines, maybe even excitedly preparing for Christmas, totally unaware that a horror was unfolding so close to home. I keep wondering about the neighbors and whether anyone heard anything that morning. Maybe someone saw or heard enough to call for help? It must be so difficult for the community to process something so awful happening right there in their midst, especially knowing that this family had recently moved in. Did anyone notice anything? I think about the support systems and if there was anyone there who could have intervened or offered help to Promyss before things spiraled out of control. I hope the local community can rally together to support each other, as well as the mother and daughter. They definitely need all the love and support they can get right now. My thoughts are with them, and I just hope they’re getting the care and assistance they need as they begin to heal from this unimaginable event.
