I’ve been diving into some of the cases from 2008, and I keep coming back to Versellias R. Hammond’s unsolved murder. It’s haunting to think about how his life was taken on South 22nd Street and how his family has had to carry that pain without answers for all these years. The way his community remembers him through tributes is incredibly moving. I truly hope someone comes forward with information. It’s so important we keep these cases alive in the public eye; someone out there knows something. Sending strength and hope to his loved ones.
