I've been thinking a lot about the community's role in the tragic case of Baby Boy Bishop. It just seems unimaginable that something so devastating could happen in a place many call home. I grew up hearing stories about the tight-knit nature of areas like 22nd and Broadway, and it's hard to fathom how someone capable of such a heartless act slipped through the cracks.
I keep circling back to the idea that someone out there knows more than they've let on. It's been so many years, but this was a baby—an innocent life cut short far too soon. I truly believe it takes a village, and in cases like this, it's more important than ever for the community to come together. Even the smallest piece of information can be crucial.
With this lingering as a cold case, I hope that people who might have hesitated in the past will now feel compelled to speak up. Maybe there's a neighbor who saw something unusual that day or someone who overheard the wrong kind of conversation. Every detail counts. Let's keep the hope alive that justice will be served in Baby Boy Bishop's memory. Sending my thoughts to all those touched by this tragedy.
Has anyone ever looked into whether there was any video surveillance from nearby businesses or traffic cameras at the intersection of 22nd and Broadway around the time Baby Boy Bishop was discovered? I know it's been years, but sometimes footage can be stored longer than we think, or someone might remember seeing something now that they didn’t realize was significant back then. Given how busy intersections can be, there's a chance something might have been captured that could provide a clue, however small. It's so hard to understand how something like this could happen, and it feels like the community needs to come together to help find answers for this little one. If anyone in the area knows about places that might have had cameras back in 2009, maybe it could be worth looking into again? Just hoping that somewhere, somehow, there's a lead waiting to be found that could finally bring some justice and peace.
