I can't stop thinking about how Bryan Gibbs' life was cut short and what his family must be going through right now. It seems like he had his whole life ahead of him, and it's just devastating to imagine that their last memories of him are entangled with such a violent incident. Reading about how the suspects were quickly caught after the chase into D.C., I can't help but feel a bit of relief that justice might soon be served. But it doesn't change the fact that another young life has been lost and a community is left to pick up the pieces. I hope the legal proceedings bring some sense of closure to Bryan's loved ones. Has anyone heard if Bryan's family has made any public statements or if there are plans for a community vigil? Keeping the Gibbs family in my thoughts.
