Hey everyone, I came across Miguel Contreras' case recently and can't shake this gut feeling about Seeley, CA itself. It's such a small town, right? I've been trying to dig around to see if there were any other disappearances or unusual incidents happening in or around Seeley around 2001. Did anyone else notice if the area had any reports of suspicious activities back then? It seems odd that there's almost nothing out there about what might have been going on at the time of his disappearance. Maybe there were local rumors or smaller incidents that never made it to big news? If anyone has info on Seeley from that time, even the smallest details could help.
Hey everyone, I've been following Miguel Contreras' disappearance, and something that caught my attention is the fact that he's listed in NamUs. I know this system is a huge resource for unsolved cases, but I wonder how often people actually visit the site or use it to match missing persons with unidentified individuals. It’s been over two decades since he vanished, but with more technology and databases like NamUs, I just hope someone comes across it and can provide some new information. Anyone else have thoughts on how effective these databases are for cases that are so cold?
Does anyone have more information on the weather conditions in Seeley the day Miguel disappeared back in 2001? I'm curious if it might have played any role or affected initial search efforts. It's been so many years, but every detail could still help. Weather can impact things like scent trails for dogs or how far someone might travel on foot. Just trying to piece together any small bits that might help paint a clearer picture of what happened that day. If anyone local remembers anything about June 23, 2001, even the smallest details might still be useful!
