Has anyone else been following the Kyon Thomas case? It’s so upsetting to think about how young he was and what his future could have held. I've been reading up on the 39 Babies gang, and it’s chilling how they operated with such impunity. The sheer level of violence and control they exerted in North Baltimore is both terrifying and infuriating. What particularly strikes me is how these gangs can create an atmosphere where people are too afraid to speak out. It makes you wonder how many other crimes go unpunished because witnesses are intimidated or coerced. I really hope that the community feels some sense of safety with the indictments of those 11 gang members. It's a big step forward, but I can’t help but think there’s so much more work to do to clean up the streets. My thoughts are with Kyon’s loved ones. It’s unimaginable to lose someone so dear in such a senseless act of violence. Hoping for justice and that this tragedy can somehow bring about change.
