Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Robert Lee Chico Gowens and can't shake the feeling of helplessness seeing how it has unfolded over the past few years. I recently came across community efforts to tackle the wider issue of gun violence in Suitland, which this case tragically highlights. There's been some local advocacy and outreach programs working to create safer neighborhoods, and frankly, I think that's essential given what happened to Robert. Does anyone have more info on community meetings or groups that are engaging with these issues? It feels like supporting these local efforts could be one way to honor Robert's memory and possibly prevent more tragedies. Stay safe, everyone.
