I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of J'Shaun's friend who was there that night. It must be incredibly hard to process something like this—to be so close yet unable to stop the tragedy from happening. While I've read various accounts, I can't help but wonder how this witness is coping with the aftermath. Witnessing such a traumatic event can leave scars that aren't visible, and often those affected don’t get the attention or support they need. It’s chilling to think about how a simple meeting for a shoe sale could turn into such a horrific event. J'Shaun's friend obviously acted quickly by calling 911, and it’s just heartbreaking to imagine the fear and helplessness they felt. My heart goes out to them as well as J'Shaun’s family. I hope they have a strong support system to lean on during this incredibly difficult time.
