Hey everyone,
I've been closely following the Frankye Duckett case, and one thing that really stands out to me is the bravery of the folks who brought Marquis Poteat to justice. It's not lost on me how emotionally taxing it must have been for the Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force to capture someone involved in such a violent act. These are the kinds of moments where the dedication of law enforcement shines, and they deserve recognition for their hard work.
However, my heart truly goes out to Frankye's family and friends. I can't imagine the weight they must feel, knowing the tragic circumstances under which he was taken from them. It's never just a headline—these are real people coping with unimaginable loss.
Would love to know how you all feel about community support for public service workers and ways we can help decrease the risks they face daily. Let’s keep this discussion going.
Stay safe, everyone.
I've been thinking a lot about the role technology played in getting justice for Frankye Duckett. It’s remarkable how security cameras and video footage have become such essential evidence in cases like this. Without that critical footage from the bus, capturing the confrontation and attack, would the perpetrators have been brought to justice so swiftly? It’s chilling to think how much harder it would be to solve such crimes without those extra eyes everywhere.
My heart goes out to Frankye's family and friends. He was simply doing his job, ensuring people got to where they needed to be, and this senseless act took him away. Hopefully the footage brings some closure as part of the bigger picture. I just wish it didn’t have to unfold this way for justice to serve its purpose.
