I came across this case recently and can’t stop thinking about the ripple effect of Simeon’s tragic death on his community. It's just so devastating to see someone with such a bright future ahead—an aspiring young athlete about to graduate—lose their life so suddenly and senselessly. I can't imagine what his family and friends are going through. The fact that his life was taken in a place as seemingly mundane as a parking lot just adds to the surreal nature of it all. I’ve been looking into the community response, and it’s heartening to see people coming together to support one another and honor Simeon's memory. Shows you how tight-knit communities rally in the worst of times. It's also a stark reminder of how urgently we need to address issues like gun violence. How many more promising young lives need to be lost before meaningful changes happen? My thoughts are with everyone affected by this senseless act.
