Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Sagar Ghimire and the others affected by that horrific event in Gwynn Oak, and it got me thinking about the role of community response when such events unfold. It was truly impressive to see how quickly the Nepalese community in Baltimore, along with organizations like Saathi Baltimore, came together to support the victims' families. It's moments like these that highlight the strength and compassion within communities, especially when they are faced with such unimaginable loss.
It's also remarkable how these organizations didn't just offer emotional support but also took tangible steps to raise funds and provide practical assistance. It’s a testament to the power of unity and empathy. I hope this case shines a light on the importance of community networks—not just for offering support after tragedies occur but also for advocating for changes that might prevent similar incidents in the future.
Sending love and strength to Sagar's family and all those affected by this senseless act. ?
Would love to hear your thoughts on community involvement and support during such times.
I’ve been thinking a lot about Everton Brown’s long history of mental health issues and repeated complaints from his neighbors. It’s so disheartening that despite all those red flags, nothing substantial was done to address his behavior. How did it slip through the cracks for so long? The system seems to have failed Sagar Ghimire and the other victims, and it makes me wonder how many other communities might be living next to a similar situation. We can’t bring them back, but we need to learn from this tragedy to prevent something like it from happening again. My thoughts are with Sagar's loved ones and everyone affected.
