I've been thinking a lot about the impact this tragic event had on the community. It's tough knowing that a neighborhood could be shaken by such violence. Beech Street used to be a place where kids played and neighbors knew each other, but after Curtis and DeShone were taken from us, everything changed. A sense of security was stripped away, replaced by fear and caution.
I can't help but feel for their families and loved ones who must still drive past that street, haunted by memories of who they lost. The idea that Curtis and Brian had some kind of personal conflict might offer a motive, but it doesn't heal the wound left behind. To everyone who was apart of this community, please take care of yourselves and each other. Remember Curtis and DeShone not just for how they died, but for the lives they lived and the joy they brought to those around them.
Hey everyone,

I’ve been reading up on the Curtis Smith and DeShone Henry case from 2011, and something that’s been on my mind is the role of Brandon Smith's confession in 2019. It's so complicated considering how it came up years after Brian Edmonds was already serving his sentence. I can't help but think about how devastating it must be for the families on all sides.

Imagine holding onto hope for answers or justice only for this confession to surface, adding layers of doubt and uncertainty. It feels like such a long shot in getting the conviction revisited, but if Brandon Smith’s confession holds any weight, shouldn't it at least be thoroughly examined?

I’d love to hear what you all think about confessions like this—how credible they tend to be and whether such cases should be reevaluated. It's just so perplexing and feels like it deserves a second look, especially for the victims' families who deserve the fullest truth possible. Thoughts?
Hey everyone,
I can't stop thinking about the recent confession from Brandon Smith claiming responsibility for the murders of Curtis Smith and DeShone Henry. It's so unsettling to imagine that someone might have taken the fall for a crime they didn't commit, and it must be a rollercoaster of emotions for the families involved. Has there been any credible follow-up on this confession from authorities or media? It seems like there should be a thorough investigation given such a serious claim. And what kind of evidence would be strong enough to overturn a conviction? I'm just trying to wrap my head around how our justice system deals with new confessions like this. Anyway, sending all the love and support to Curtis's and DeShone's families as they navigate such a difficult situation.
