Hi everyone, I was just reading about Maliyah Turner's tragic case and my heart goes out to her family, especially her mom, Michelle. I can't even begin to imagine the pain they're feeling. What really caught my attention is the community's silence despite Maliyah being surrounded by people that night. It must be so frustrating for her family, knowing there were potential witnesses, yet no one has stepped up. I understand there might be fear involved, but I hope someone finds the courage to say something. The Lillian S. Jones Recreation Center being closed shows the impact on the whole community, not just the family. Does anyone know if there have been any recent community meetings or gatherings to support the family and push for more information to surface? It feels like our communities need to come together more than ever to prevent such tragedies and make sure justice is served. Thinking of Maliyah's family and hoping for answers soon.

I wanted to talk about the fact that the Lillian S. Jones Recreation Center is still closed after Maliyah's tragic death. It's so sad how something that should be a safe haven for kids has become another symbol of our loss. It makes you wonder how many other kids are missing out on the positive experiences that places like these are supposed to offer. It’s frustrating to think that the community can’t even use the space for healing or togetherness because of this terrible event. As the investigation stays open, I sincerely hope it encourages those who might know something to come forward. Kids should feel safe going to a community center, and families like Maliyah's shouldn't have to fight such an uphill battle for justice. Sending strength to Maliyah’s family and friends as they continue to navigate this painful journey.
