I've been following the tragic story of DaShawn "Nut" McGrier and it's just so difficult to wrap my head around everything that's happened. McGrier was someone who had been through so much, especially considering what he experienced with the police back in 2018. It's rare to find someone who not only survives such a situation but then chooses to give back so selflessly to their community. It seems like he had such a strong resolve to make positive changes. The nature of his death is just so tragic, and I'm sure it strikes a deep chord with everyone who knew him and even those of us reading about it. I hope that sharing more about his life and work can continue to inspire more people to push for peace and non-violence in Baltimore. The fact that no arrests have been made must be so hard for his loved ones, and I can't imagine the grief they are experiencing, knowing justice hasn’t been served yet. My heart goes out to them and the community mourning this loss. I hope police can bring some closure to those affected.
