Wow, the news about David Ramirez really hit hard. My heart goes out to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. I can't even imagine the pain they must be going through. I was really struck by how quickly the Baltimore Police were able to make an arrest in this case—just knowing that they caught a suspect in such a short time frame must provide at least a small sense of relief to those who cared about David. But it also leaves me wondering about the why and the how. It seems like all we ever see are the outcomes, but I'm really hoping for more details to come out during the trial, if only to shed light on what led up to this senseless act. I just hope this brings us closer to understanding the broader issue of violence in Baltimore, and maybe somehow we can work towards preventing future tragedies. Sending all my thoughts to David's loved ones.
