I came across an article detailing the tragic events surrounding Kai, Sommaly, and Sara Mann’s deaths, and I am struggling to come to terms with how someone could inflict such pain on an innocent family. What really struck a chord with me was learning about Kai’s dreams and ambitions. By all accounts, he was a young man with so much potential, admired for his kindness and determination. He wanted to make a mark as a business owner and even aspired to enter politics. It's absolutely gut-wrenching to think that his bright future was unfairly cut short due to someone else's unresolved issues and violent tendencies. My thoughts are with the entire Mann family and the community of La Plata as they try to heal from this unimaginable loss. It's vital that we continue to support efforts aimed at addressing domestic violence, so no other family has to endure such a tragedy.
