I've been thinking a lot about the impact Deputy Andrew Mazur's death must have had on the local community in Greenville. He seemed like such a dedicated officer and deeply rooted in both his work and faith. Attending the same church regularly must have allowed him to connect with so many people on a personal level, not just as a law enforcement officer but as a friend and fellow community member. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for those who saw him every Sunday and shared in his life outside of his service. The relationships built in church communities often become like extended family, and losing someone in such a violent and unexpected manner must have been incredibly painful. My thoughts go out to all who knew and loved him, and I hope the community continues to support his family and honor his legacy.
