Has anyone else come across any local news articles or community posts about the North Augusta Boating Club paying tribute to Garth Hewlett? I heard they organized a small gathering in his memory, and it really struck a chord with me. It's a testament to how much he meant to everyone in the community. Despite the tragic way things unfolded, it’s kind of beautiful to see how his friends and fellow club members are celebrating the positive impact he had on their lives. If anyone has more details on how the gathering went or if there's anything being planned in the future, I'd love to hear more about it. My heart goes out to all those who knew him and his son, Brandon. Such a heavy loss for them.

I'm struggling to wrap my head around the tragic incident involving Garth and Brandon Hewlett. It’s so hard to comprehend how a family conflict could escalate to such a degree. Reading about the murder-suicide just leaves me with so many questions about what happened in those moments before things turned fatal. Knowing that Denise had to come home and find them like that is just unimaginable. I can’t even begin to figure out how someone copes with that kind of loss. I didn’t know Garth personally, but a few members of my family did through the North Augusta Boating Club. They always spoke so highly of him—how he dedicated himself to his work and community. I’m hoping the people who were closest to them have some kind of support system as they try to process everything. It’s devastating for an entire community when these tragedies occur, and the scars can run deep. My thoughts are definitely with everyone affected.

I was reading about how Garth was deeply involved with the North Augusta Boating Club, and it just breaks my heart to think of all the people he connected with there. I can't imagine the loss felt by his fellow members and friends. It's always so tough when someone who was active in the community and brought people together is gone so suddenly and violently. I hope they find some solace in each other during this difficult time. Does anyone know if the Boating Club is doing anything in his honor? Perhaps a memorial or a gathering? Sending strength to everyone impacted by this terrible loss.
