Hi everyone, I've been following the discussions about Damon Lamont Martin Jr.'s tragic murder, and something that's been on my mind is the impact on his young daughter, Paris Taylor. It breaks my heart to think about how she had to grow up without her dad. It's been over eight years since Damon was taken from his loved ones, and it must be incredibly difficult for Paris to reconcile with that reality as she grows older. Does anyone know if there have been any community initiatives or support groups that have been set up to help children like Paris cope with the loss of a parent due to gun violence? I think it's important to remember that beyond seeking justice for Damon, there's also a need to provide ongoing support for the loved ones he left behind. If there’s anything we can do to help push for more community support, I'd love to hear any ideas.
