I came across another detail about Michael Wayne Kemmerlin's case that really caught my attention. While there's been a lot of focus on the relationship (or lack thereof) between Kemmerlin and George Hughes, I wonder why there isn't more conversation about what happened leading up to the incident. The fact that Hughes called law enforcement himself after the shooting is curious to me. Did he feel remorse at that moment, or was it something else entirely that made him call? It makes you think about what might have been going on in his mind. It's incredibly tough for Kemmerlin's family to be left with so many unanswered questions. Hopefully, the continued investigation sheds some light on this aspect. My thoughts are with them as they navigate this heartbreaking time, hoping they find some peace eventually.
