Has anyone else looked into the role that faith played in Susie Jackson’s life prior to the tragic events at Mother Emanuel? From everything I've read, her commitment to her church and community was truly profound. Her active participation in the choir and usher board shows she was such a valued and integral part of her congregation. It’s so moving to hear how she dedicated her years to giving and serving others, embodying the very spirit of compassion and kindness. Her legacy is one of resilience, serving as a beacon of hope and unity for those left behind. It’s unimaginable to think about the loss her family and the community have endured. How do we honor the life of someone who gave so selflessly? I believe continuing to foster unity and compassion in our own communities could be a way to carry forward the lessons she lived by.
