I was reading about the tragic case of Charles Cowherd and just cannot imagine the pain his family and friends must be feeling, especially with Father’s Day so near when it happened. It’s awful to think how gun violence has impacted the Park Hill neighborhood and taken Mr. Cowherd from those who loved him. I wonder if the ongoing violence in the area might be making it harder for witnesses to come forward. It must be terrifying for residents fearing retaliation but I really hope someone finds the courage to share what they know. Sending my thoughts to his wife and children who are enduring such a profound loss. Communities should not have to live in fear, and families should not have to live without justice.
