I've been thinking about the role domestic violence might have played in Shannon Rasheal Little's tragic death. It’s incredibly difficult to imagine what she might have been going through behind closed doors. It serves as a powerful reminder that we often don't know what someone else is enduring until it's too late. I'm hoping this case will encourage more dialogue about recognizing the warning signs and supporting those in abusive situations. Also, her kids being there and witnessing their mother’s death is just unimaginable. I hope they’re being supported by loving family during such a difficult time, and that they eventually find some peace. It’s up to us as a community to keep discussing these issues and advocating for better protections and support systems.
