I’ve been thinking a lot about the courage it must have taken for Kendra to pursue her dreams despite everything. She was so young, just 21, with her whole life ahead of her. I can’t help but wonder what her life as a Patient Care Technician would have looked like. I bet she would have been incredibly compassionate and empathetic in her work. It’s so tough to grasp how quickly those dreams were taken away by someone she trusted. The incident really shines a light on the need for more support systems not only for those already in abusive relationships but also for young people to recognize the signs early. My heart goes out to her family, who must be missing her terribly and are dealing with this unimaginable loss. Let’s continue to push for change and support each other in honor of Kendra and others like her.
