Hi everyone,
I’ve been closely following the case of Alfred Lamont White, and something that doesn’t seem to get much attention is the significance of the shell casing found at the scene. It's considered crucial evidence, but I've been wondering how it was handled during the investigation. Given the delays, particularly with COVID-19 impacting SLED's ability to process evidence timely, I hope it wasn’t compromised or led to the jury's decision.
It's really concerning how evidence can be pivotal, and yet, through systemic delays, its impact might be diminished. It must be incredibly difficult for White's family to feel justice slipping through the cracks of the system. I really hope that ongoing discussions about the case lead to improvements in evidence processing and case handling in the future.
This is so tough on the community and especially on all those who cared for Alfred. If anyone has more insights, especially those local to Dillon, I’d be interested to know how the community is coping now.
Stay safe,
