I've been thinking a lot about the role of law enforcement in situations like the tragedy that took Takeshia Jamison’s life. It's so sad to hear that there were prior domestic incident reports at their home. I can't help but wonder if there were any additional steps that could have been taken by authorities to prevent this. It's easy to criticize in hindsight, but maybe there's a need for more proactive measures when it comes to cases of domestic disputes. It's just so hard to grasp that Takeshia and her loved ones had to endure something so awful. I hope her story encourages more communities to have conversations about domestic violence and what we can do to really help those who might be silently suffering before it’s too late. My heart goes out to Takeshia’s daughter, Tyassia, and the rest of her family. It must be incredibly tough to lose someone so loved in such a horrific manner.
