Has anyone else been thinking about the lack of any prior domestic disturbance reports in the Selvey case? It's really baffling to me how a couple married for 35 years, with apparently no history of violence, could end up in such a tragic situation. Ronnie Selvey seemed well-respected as the assistant manager at the water company, and from what has been shared, there weren't signs of trouble in their relationship. I feel for his family, especially his mom, Gaynell, who has to cope with losing her son in such a violent way. It makes me wonder if there were underlying issues that no one noticed or if this was a sudden escalation. Domestic situations are so complex, and it's a sad reminder of how things can turn unexpectedly. Anyone else have thoughts on relationships that appeared fine from the outside but ended in tragedy?
Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Ronnie Everett Selvey's death and can't shake the thought of how those first responders must have felt when they arrived on the scene that day. It's a scenario they train for but hope never to encounter—finding a victim in such a tragic state and having a loved one suspected of the crime. It must be incredibly challenging, both professionally and emotionally, to maintain composure and carry out their duties amid such chaos. My heart aches for Ronnie's family, who lost him in such a terrible way, and I also think about the impact this has on the entire community. It serves as a grim reminder of how critical it is to address issues of domestic violence proactively and offer support to those in potentially volatile situations before they escalate to this level. Anyone else have thoughts on how first responders deal with the aftermath of these events?
It’s so tough wrapping my head around what happened to Ronnie Selvey. I hope his family is finding some way to cope with their loss. One thing that’s been bugging me is the firearm used in this tragedy. Were there any reports about who the gun was registered to, or if it was purchased legally? Also, did anyone in their family or circle of friends know if Ronnie or Janet had shown any interest in firearms before? Trying to understand if this was something premeditated or an escalation of some sort. My thoughts are with Ronnie’s family as they navigate this nightmare.
