It's hard to wrap my head around the senseless violence that took Lewis from his family and friends. I can only imagine what they're going through right now. I was reading about how fast the police acted in bringing Diquann Cotton into custody. It’s a bit of relief knowing they moved quickly, but it doesn’t change the fact that someone full of life, with so much ahead of him, is gone.
I think about his parents, kids, and siblings and what they must be feeling. Their world has turned upside down. No parent should ever have to bury their child, and no child should lose a parent so suddenly. I hope the legal process brings them some solace and that there is a broader conversation in the community about preventing such losses. There's so much healing needed here, not just for Lewis's family, but the whole community that’s hurting.
I've been thinking about the resilience of Lewis's family and friends during such a tragic time. The way they have come together to support each other is truly admirable. It's clear that Lewis touched many lives, and the outpouring of love and memories from the community speaks volumes about the person he was. It must be incredibly difficult to navigate day-to-day life without him, especially for his kids who have lost their father at such a young age. It’s important for all of us to continue showing up for the Frampton family, whether that’s through words of encouragement, sharing fond memories, or simply being there to listen. If anyone has any thoughts on how the community can further support them, please share. Let's keep this conversation going and ensure Lewis's legacy is remembered for the joy he brought to those around him.
I’ve been following the case of Lewis Hay Frampton IV, and something that stood out to me is how his community rallied around his family after his tragic death. The vigils, public meetings, and gatherings showed how tight-knit and caring this community is, even amid unimaginable grief.
