I've been following John Flavin's case since it first came into the spotlight, and one aspect that's really puzzled me is the timeline between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. It's such a short window, but it seems like anything could have happened. What's odd is that his car was still at the campsite, so if he left voluntarily, why wouldn't he take his vehicle? And if it was foul play, it seems risky to take someone from a relatively populated campsite without anyone noticing. I've read through the search efforts, and they were extensive, covering a lot of ground from land to sea. It's hard to imagine how someone could vanish without leaving any traces, especially in a location like Plenty Kiawe. This area isn't exactly deserted, and you'd think someone might have seen or heard something that morning. I wonder if more focus should be placed on who else was camping in the area that night. Perhaps someone who wasn't part of John's group might have seen something out of the ordinary. It's been so many years, but still holding out hope that new information comes to light. Anyone else digging into the timelines or have thoughts on this angle?
